South Kerry Championship Semi-Final: Skellig Rangers1-03 St. Michaels Foilmore 1-06. Despite this being a low scoring encounter it was tense and exciting right to the end.Skellig started very well and Ciaran Keating and Brendan O Sullivan put them 2 points clear. Skellig were dominent all over the field and a great move which started in defence was finished to the net by Ciaran Keating. Keating added a point from a free and it was the 24th minute before Eanna O Connor (F) opened St Michael's account. Bernard Kelly added a point from play to leave the half time score at 1-03 to 0-02.Eanna O Connor (F) opened the scoring in the second half. Then a high ball played to Cian O Connor fell to Sean Fogerty and he finished to the net.Skellig had more of the ball but they were not taking thier chances and Eanna O Connor punished them with a great point. Skellig kept coming at St Michaels but they couldnt find a way through and St Michaels had points from Bernard Kelly and Sean Fogerty to seal the deal.Skellig had plenty of chances to win the game and no doubt the best team lost.
