Round 3. Skellig Rangers 0-07 Dromid Pearses 1-06.

Rangers started brightly and were first on the scoreboard through two Bernard Casey frees. Thomas Curran got Dromid level with 2 points (one from a free and one from play) but scores were hard to come by. Thomas Curran (F) put Dromid in front but Rangers equalized when Brian O Sullivan played a great ball to Brian Hickey who in turn played a great ball to Brendan O Sullivan and he pointed to leave the half-time score at 3 points apiece. Rangers started the second half the stronger and went in front through Alan Devane, but Thomas Curran was in inspired form for Dromid and he scored 1-2 to put Dromid four points in front. Points from Micheal O Sullivan and Bernard Casey kept Rangers in it but Mike O'Conner once again put three points between the sides. Bernard Casey pointed for rangers but it was too little too late and Dromid emerged victourious. Rangers could have won the game easily but they were wasteful in front of goal and player fatigue seemed evident.
