Match Report Round 3 County League Division 2

Skellig Rangers lost to Castleisland Desmonds on Sunday on a scoreline of 2-09 to 0-18 points.
The first half was evenly contested with Castleisland Desmonds leading by a point at the interval thanks to scores from Thomas Hickey, Maurice Hickey and Sean Lynch. Ranger's scorers were Mike Keating and Micheál O' Sullivan who each goaled and Aidan Dash O' Sullivan who scored a long range point along with Stephen O' Sullivan to keep Rangers intact. 

The second half began just as the first started with Desmonds notching a point thanks to their marksman and Kerry U-21 player Thomas Hickey. Rangers began to assert control and won a few breaks with Brian Murphy and Brian O' Sullivan trying to start attacks but Desmonds kept the scoreboard ticking over with a few more points. Micheál O' Sullivan and Brendan O' Sullivan added points and Ciaran Keating replied to Gearoid McCarthy's point with a well-taken free. Martin O' Sullivan and Diarmaid Keating were introduced for the home side to try and get a few scores but the away side ran out winners on a scoreline of 2-9 to 0-18 pts.

The focus is now on the Intermediate Championship where we will face John Mitchels away next Easter Saturday the 19th April at 6.30pm.
