Castleisland Mart Intermediate Championship County Semi-Final Match Preview This weekend sees the second semi-final of the Castleisland Mart Intermediate Championship where Skellig Rangers will face Currow in J.P O' Sullivan Park, Killorglin on Saturday the 21st at 3.15pm. Both these sides have met once already this year in the County League with the St. Kieran's side overcoming Skellig in Portmagee by a few points. Former Kerry star Seamus Scanlon and lively corner forward Johnny Buckley impressed that day so Skellig Rangers will need all guns blazing if they are to reach the final of this competition.

Skellig Rangers saw off Dromid Pearses and had a home win over Waterville in the early rounds of this competition while Currow come into this match on the back of a hard-fought one point win over Gaeltacht in their quarter final match. Both vying for promotion to Division 1 in the County League, Currow and Skellig currently occupy second and third place respectively in Division 2 but a few teams from the chasing pack have games in hand. However, both these sides will temporarily put their County League hopes on hold as they get ready to face each other in the heat of championship battle. The winners will face St. Mary's in the final who needed a late rally to see off Listowel Emmets on Sunday last. Will it be an all South Kerry final or will the black and amber of Currow see off the challenge of Skellig Rangers and go within 60 minutes of County Final glory? Throw in is this Saturday the 21st of September in J.P. O' Sullivan Park, Killorglin at 3.15pm.
