2011 South Kerry Senior Football Championship Quarter Final - Skellig Rangers vs Waterville Sunday at 3pm in Pairc Chill Imeallach Portmagee. Sunday’s game will conclude a busy weekend of championship football in the South. On Saturday, St. Micheal’s/Foilmore will take on Sneem/Derrynane while current All-Ireland Junior Club Champions St. Mary’s will entertain Renard. On Sunday, Dromid Pearses will cross the bridge to face Valentia Young Islanders. Supporters will then make the short trip over to Portmagee to watch the highly anticipated clash of Skellig Rangers vs Waterville. The Rangers and Waterville share a great history in the championship. Waterville were denied the Jack Murphy Cup in 2006 by Skellig Rangers while in 2008 Waterville defeated a strong Rangers side in the Semi-Final of this competition -  a week previous Rangers landed a Munster Junior Club Football title. Waterville will no doubt travel to Portmagee confident this weekend having merited themselves a spot in the County Intermediate Football Final last weekend by defeating Currow. However, Skellig Rangers boast a team of youth, experience and resilience. The club, players and team management welcome all support this Sunday in Portmagee.
